Lunchtime Facelift- what is that?

Ok, I like lunchtime… and I know what you mean by facelift… but what on earth do you mean when you say “Lunchtime Facelift”? Well we are glade you asked! Lunchtime is a commonly understood term denoting a time frame of about an hour- at least here in the US that is! When you combine that with facelift, that implies a facelift that is done within that hour. Think of it like a mini facelift- not your full, traditional procedure, but a faster, less intense option still yielding amazing results! There are actually a few different procedures that can be accomplished in a short amount of time.

Tell me more! What are the different procedures to consider?
Most commonly, when you hear people speak of a lunchtime facelift, they are talking about a MINT Thread Lift. Minimally Invasive Nonsurgical Thread (MINT) Lift addresses the signs of aging that impact the mid-face area. Changes like sagging skin are caused by gravity over time. This procedure strives to create a sharper jawline and V-line (the point of your chin upward towards your ears) with minimal incisions at the hairline. This thread lift promotes collagen synthesis and creates lasting results with almost no downtime required. This is considered a non-surgical facelift where absorbable sutures visibly lift and rejuvenate the skin. PDO Threads lift portions of the skin to tighten it and stimulate the body’s natural healing response to direct large surges of collagen to treated areas.

FaceTite and AccuTite are two similar procedures that utilize radio frequency (RF) technology to stimulate deep within the skin to simultaneously melt fat and tighten the skin in the face and neck. FaceTite is used all over the face and neck to give a more youthful appearance commonly after a single session. AccuTite is used to target specific hard to treat areas, like the brows, eyelids, and even laugh lines. Tightening the skin rather than simply using fillers is extremely important to give you that natural look. Skin sags as we age naturally, so targeting that stubborn fat and tightening those areas is a sure way to regain your youthful appearance. These are some of the favorite procedures due to their quick nature and fabulous results.

Another really cool option to consider is Morpheus8- a microneedling device that utilizes that same radio frequency energy to remodel and contour the face and body via subdermal adipose remodeling. Say what?! This means tiny pins penetrate the skin while the radio frequency energy is delivered to depths of 2-4 millimeters (which is predetermined per area) to remodel the collagen below. This creates a smoother appearance to minimize fine lines, wrinkles, scars, as well as remove facial fat, hanging jowls and double chin by going deep. This is a great option for contouring to create a younger, slimmer, and sharp effect. It is the most trendy, anti-aging treatment that women and men love. In fact, Morpheus 8 can to be used on the body or the face and even under the eyes! Stimulating the collagen production allows for longer term benefits that will continue to improve the appearance over time.

Lastly, if you are concerned with pigmentation, sun spots, and redness, Clear + Brilliant laser treatment or the Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatment are both fantastic to look into. Both treatments use lasers to improve your skins pigmentation that is now more uneven or showing sun spots or redness with no downtime required. Clear + Brilliant is great for all skin types and really gives you a refreshed, youthful appearance. IPL is especially good for redness and uneven pigmentation.

Those sound interesting but will there be any downtime?

That is where the name lunchtime facelift really shines! All of these procedures generally have little to no down time, meaning you can pop in our offices, have a session done, and get right back to your normal day without anyone having to know you were up to something. They all show results quickly as well- which is always gratifying!

After your consultation, we can set you up with an appointment that is convenient for you and still hit your happy hour simply looking refreshed. Of course you may need to redo or touchup your makeup but otherwise should be happily on you way to the next adventure. We do (as always- with or without a procedure) highly recommend using a great sunscreen to protect your skin after and really always. Maybe staying off the boat or beach for the following 24 hours to allow your skin to regenerate itself would be a smart choice.
