The concerns that are commonly treated in the face are:

  • Smile lines

  • Laugh lines

  • Pre-jowl folds

  • Corners of the mouth

  • & chin wrinkles

In the hands, the enhanced appearance works to:

  • Resort lost volume

  • Minimize the visibility of the veins and tendons

  • Provide a smooth, natural result

How does Radiesse work?

Radiesse is a dermal filler that shows results in your first treatment by adding fullness and volume to your face right away. It is injected directly into the skin at the site of concern. Radiesse is made up of a natural material called Calcium Hydroxylapatite that is contained in a water based gel carrier. It is important to note, that Radiesse will not correct the underlying problems causing the wrinkles or folds.

How long does Radiesse last?

Each person can have a different experience with any dermal filler used. That being said, most patients will see the results lasting at least 6 months, many for a year, and even some seeing an improvement for as long as 30 months after their last injections.

What can I expect after my treatment?

Most people feel comfortable to return to their normal daily life immediately after treatment. You may experience some redness and soreness at the injection site. Swelling can also occur which can be helped with an ice pack. Bruising is another common side effect. Generally our patients find that within a week any side effects have disappeared. Once in awhile, a patient will experience some side effects lingering for two weeks.

Additionally, upon completion of your treatment, you should avoid massaging the area, lots of movement to the area, applying any makeup at the treatment site, and ensure you are protecting the area from the sun. The area where you have had the Radiesse injected may be noticeable to the touch, however after time passes, the site injected will begin to feel more like your normal skin and tissue.
